Following 2,190 miles of mountain ridge lines, the Appalachian National Scenic Trail (A.T.) crosses 14 states, from Georgia to Maine. It's the longest and oldest marked footpath in the country—and here in Western Loudoun, VA, we're lucky enough to have the A.T. right in our backyard.

The Loudoun Appalachian Trail Association (LATA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting the public with the iconic Appalachian Trail (A.T.) and protecting local natural resources. Operating in partnership with nearby trail communities—Round Hill, Hillsboro, and Bluemont—our 100% volunteer-run organization works to promote environmental awareness, outdoor recreation and conservation in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

In 2026, LATA held our seventh festival, an annual celebration of the A.T. (Photos below.) And we're planning to do it all again in 2027
. Please get in touch if you want to get involved.
